KitchenAid Gourmet Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set
This is a beautiful looking and working entry level cookware set. It's "gourmet" style, and to me has a look somewhere between a homeowner/restaurant quality to it. The pots and pans are heavy and feel very sturdy. I used this set to cook some meats and pasta on my Samsung freestanding induction range, and all performed spectacularly. They have sort of a rounded bottom to them, but still lay flat on the range. They are induction capable, as are all stainless steel pots. The glass lids are a nice touch, but besides boiling water, I don't need to see whats inside. I prefer all stainless steel lids because I like the commercial look. The rubber does help the lid stay on extra tight.
For the price, you get some very high quality stainless steel pots and pans. The 10 piece set comes with 4 lids, and 6 pots and pans to make a total of 10 pieces.
They are dishwasher safe, but it is best to wash them by hand. Some food particles and dishwashers can create abrasives and will mar the finish over time. If you want your stainless steel pots and pans to look brand new, routinely use Bar Keepers Friend cleaner on them. The calcium deposits come off like magic with just a dab of BKF and some water. It's amazing.
Don't hestittae to pick up this set. It's makes for a perfect gift of addiction to any kitchen.
