Oreck XL Pro Commercial 6 Quart Commercial Backpack Vacuum Cleaner Model XLPRO6A
I love this vacuum. I just got it yesterday and I put it together and had it going within minutes. I vacuumed my whole house (2500 square feet) in 15 minutes. It's lightweight and the suction is awesome. I also used it on my furniture to get pet hair and it worked awesome. I am a cleaning lady and I can't wait to use it on Monday at my first client's house!
The 50 foot cord is great because you just plug into the middle of your house and you never have to unplug, just keep going until it's done. It even works on plush carpet as it's a hard plastic, it just runs over it sucking all the dirt up!
Downside: it doesn't have a horsetail brush for wood floors as to not scratch them. Looking for one of those right now!

Miele S2181 Titan Canister Vacuum - Mango Red
Miele S2181 Titan Canister Vacuum - Mango Red
My husband and I are really happy with this purchase. We bought it about three months ago after quite a lot of research. I have always purchased Kenmore vacuums in the past and was tired of replacing them every 4-5 years. I prefer the canister style because it is easy to maneuver. This one is especially lightweight and the red color is nice. We live in a three story house with two stories of wood and one story of carpeting. This model works equally well on both surfaces. We knew we wanted to go with a Miele because of their reputed durability. The parts for this vacuum are quite solid. These are of superior quality to our Kenmores. We didn't go with one of the lower priced models in the range because they didn't seem to have the components we wanted for cleaning our carpets. This was the lowest price model Miele made which works equally well on both smooth and carpeted floors. We did look at the higher end models in the extensive range, but this model seemed quite good when comparing price and features. I really like how all the attachments easily store on the body of the canister so I can quickly change out parts as needed. People have mentioned not liking the short cord. It is shorter than our old vacuums, but I've been okay with it. The light weight of the unit makes it quite easy to carry up and down stairs.

Purchased this vacuum cleaner about a month ago and use it almost daily. I already had 4 canister vacuum cleaners of different brands because I use one each for the upstairs, downstairs, basement and garage, and one needed to be retired. Our entire house (including finished full basement) has either solid wood or tile floors - with a lot of Persian rugs everywhere. I do not own a vacuum cleaner with a power brush head because I do not want to beat and scratch the wood floors. This Electrolux was designed to be used on solid floors and area rugs. It is very quiet, significant suction, lots of features and the build quality is outstanding. It was made in Hungary. It is far the best vacuum I now own and will be buying another one or two. The old vacuums will be given away.

Porter-Cable's "handheld vaccum" does the job and actually picks stuff up. We have all hardwood and tile floors and there was nothing more frustrating than waiting for our previous alternate brand handheld vacuum to pick up a dustball! This is a great tool to avoid pulling out the full-size vacuum between thorough cleaning...see it, got it..quick. Coupled with the Li-Ion battery technology there is no painful slowdown to the work. It works until the battery needs to be charged and then charging in quick. I am buying a second one for the garage. I highly recommend this fine, but fairly priced tool!

I review several products in this area and decided this one was the best. I was looking for something that would help me clean up after my two cats. So far I'm very satisfied. I also used it in the kitchen. Excellent on hard to reach places or spots with hard to remove grease. Sure, you still have to do some scrubbing but this unit makes it almost fun to clean. Unit is ready for action minutes after you plug it in. Very satisfied.

I just bought the machine and it took me 10 minutes to get it up and running. I have a 700 sq ft apt and it took 1hr and 4 tanks of hot water. It did an excellent job of picking up dirt and scrubbing the stains off the heavy traffic areas. It also cleaned my kitchen rug. I have two small dogs and it worked great. It's very small and compact and worth every dollar.
I'm very pleased.

A good machine. Light to handle and efficient in operation. My wife thinks that this 'superior' model is no better than the standard model.
Check carefully on shipping costs when purchasing. Go Vacuuum charged me for shipping and I then received a threatening letter from Federal Express for failing to pay their invoice for shipping, which I had not received. FedEx charge, £15-86, was less than Go Vacuum had charged £24-52.

I tried several high end name brand vacuums and all were a disappointment! This vacuum is amazing. I have very plush hard to clean carpets and they have never been cleaner.
The vacuum is a bit heavy and harder to push than others I tried, however you need not run it over the same spot more than once. I vacuum more often now (hard to imagine I know).
The "shock" in the handle as one reviewer mentions, I think is static. Try setting your carpet-pile dial a bit higher. Every vacuum I've had worth its salt has given me static shocks when vacuuming. I think it is the plush carpet and the beaters.
I hate bag-less vacuums, so this bagged model is great for me. I don't need to see the dirt again thanks! I ordered vacuum bags on line in bulk for a better price-didn't see the bags in my local dept. stores.
This vacuum was half the price of the one I replaced and 10 times the vacuum!

Purchased this locally in Battle Creek because the owner of the Sweeper Depot offered to match any Internet Pricing. I own The Victorian Villa Inn in Union City - an historic bed & breakfast inn - since 1982. Purchased two of these babies in January 2008 and my housekeepers were so delighted with them that I ordered two more in March 2008. We now have one of these vacuums on each floor of the Villa and in the Carriage House too. We purchased these for $ 120.00/unit plus a small shipping charge. We love them - I just ordered two more bringing our total to six of these units to use in our new lighting shop - The 19th Century Lighting Company and in our newest building acquisition - "1876 Office Suites" - where they will both be in daily use... These are powerful machines - great suction and smooth operation. Buy one - you'll love it !!

Black & Decker SPV1800 18V Cordless Platinum Series Hand Vac
Nov 10, 2009 - I've owned my cordless vac now for 6 months & the battery is still working & I'm now looking at changing the filter out for the very 1st time! I've taken the filter out several times & removed debris & replaced, but it's finally at a point where I need to replace it which 6 months is very good. I've owned a lot of cordless vac & they are either too heavy, wont suck up stuff, or the batteries die in 3 months & this vac doesn't have ANY of those issues. I use mine everyday in my laundry room for kitty litter, kitty food, and misc dirt that gets on my tile floor & I can go almost an entire week b4 I need to recharge my battery which I put on the charger at night & in the morning it's ready to go again. I have a bad back so I need a product that is easy to use, reliable, & does what I pay for and this one will do it. It's a little more expensive but you want the higher volts as it DOES make a diff & you will just end up replacing the cheaper model within a year if not earlier. The only drawback I've seen so far is you cant buy the replacement filters at the store, but Amazon does carry them and they run around $8 but you will get your money's worth out of them.

I own an all-metal Tri-Star cannister vacuum, which is still the best all-round vacuum you can buy. But lugging it out just to vacuum an area rug with pet-hair (I have 2 dogs & a cat) is a bit of a chore, so I bought this & keep it in a corner of my BR. It, too, has all--metal parts where it counts (beater brush, the entire bottom, & long handle). It's suction on carpets is actually BETTER than my Tri-Star, the bag is huge & thus doesn't need changing for about a month, & the CPU-1T is actually a 'professional/industrial model. At the price I paid, it was an excellent buy & I expect it to last for years. I've tried cheap plastic vacuums for this 'quick -pick-up-pet hair-role', but never again --I have found my solution.

All-Clad 51125 All Clad Stainless-Steel 12-Inch Fry Pan with Lid
After using this frying pan I will no longer buy the non-stick pans. This pan cooks so even and browns up so much better. I've purchased top of the line non-stick pans in my life only to be dissappointed shortly after I buy them. This pan is also beautiful. It shines up great. The lid is a plus. It is clear so you can see right thru it. Since I bought this pan and I like it so much, I also plan on widening my collection of the All Clad brand. The only down fall is the price. But if you shop around like I did, you will be able to find a pretty good deal.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Medium Dome Cover
Wow, Where do I start? The Price! For (...) a non-stick anodized 12 pan! What a deal. many have spent 3 time as much or more. The quality?
Amazing! I enjoy the weight of the pan, not too heavy. It heats up well with no cold spots. I use it to sautee, stir fry, omletts , grilled sandwiches, I always coat the pan with a little oil. (A force of habit)
nothing to do with the quaility of the pan. I enjoy cooking with it clean up is a breeze. I like the handles, my cooking space is small and didn't want handles that stood out. It comes with a glass lid. Very nice. Buy this you won't regret it. Makes a great gift for someone just starting out. Oh and I forgot the pan works just fine in the oven.
It's March 2008 and I still love this pan! It's March 2010 and the pan has starting sticking. Broiled salmon in it and it had to be pryed off. Oh well. Still love this pan. Oh well back to shopping list you must go. I am getting another one.

Fagor 8-Quart Stainless-Steel Pressure Cooker with Steamer Basket
Fagor 8-Quart Stainless-Steel Pressure Cooker with Steamer Basket
This is an excellent Fagor product. I'm not sure what the other reviewer really meant when saying the lid jammed, but the lid is supposed to be turned to the left to close, not to the right. The handle on the lid and the handle on the pot is supposed to meet and then you know it's closed because you hear an audible click as it locks in place. I suppose if you try to force the lid to the right it will jam, but why would you want to do that?
Anyway, there are 2 pressure settings, one for low, and one for high. The high is used when you don't have a lot of time. The instructions are clear in the booklet, and most meals will cook in less than an hour. It does take getting used to especially if you've never used a pressure cooker before, like me. But I love how quickly the meat gets soft, especially since I usually don't start thinking about dinner until late in the afternoon.
This is a very nice, heavy-weight 18/10 Stainless Steel cooker, not the thin aluminum types like "Presto". You're getting a well-made, quality pressure cooker with Fagor.

Anolon Advanced Nonstick Hard-Anodized Aluminum 10-Piece Cookware Set
Anolon Advanced Nonstick Hard-Anodized Aluminum 10-Piece Cookware Set
I purchased a set of these pans over 5 years ago. Originally I was hesitant about spending so much money on a set of pans, but with a family of 4 they would get used every day so I needed something that was supposed to last. Well, they have withstood the test of time. The one thing people need to realize is that most non stick pans don't like high heat or metal utensils. they also don't like the harsh cleaners that are in dishwasher detergents. So, following the instructions, I never cooked with high heat unless there were liquids in the pan, always used plastic utensils, and never placed them in the dishwasher. Almost every pan is still going strong. There were two pans that discolored over time and items started to stick, but I sent them off and they were replaced under warranty. (after 4 years of use)
I am now divorced and am planning to purchase another set for my own use. The weight of these and their even flat bottoms is a plus on newer glass top induction stoves and they also worked great on the old gas top stove. Clean up was always easy with one of those little cello sponges. I never had to scrape or scrub, though sometimes if you leave the pan sit for a bit you need to soak in some hot water. After the soak, the residue simple rinsed out.
I would recommend these to anyone who needs to cook daily and especially to those who use induction stoves. The thick bottoms are well suited to these types of stoves. -trust me, I had to use some cheap-o thin pans and everything burned easily.

Wilton 2104-9008 Chocolate Pro 3-Tier Chocolate Fountain
I purchased this for my daughter's bridal shower rather than renting one. I tried it out before the shower to make sure everything went smoothly on her special day. The fountain was a big hit! Follow the directions and you won't have a problem. Make sure the fountain is leveled (directions are included) and the chocolate flow will be perfect. Great purchase!

Innova Classicor Wrought-Iron Oval Pot Rack
Innova Classicor Wrought-Iron Oval Pot Rack
Functional and well constructed, this rack fits the bill for a very good price. Measuring 34" by 17", it was just the size to hang my new set of Calphalon pots and pans along with two KitchenAid frying pans. Installation was easy and, owing to some luck about the placement of joists in the ceiling, it hung just where I wanted it above the counter island. Since the hangers are well supported by the joists, I'm sure it will hold more than the rating of 40 lbs. I would rate this a Best Buy.

Instant Pot? 5-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker 6.33Qt Latest 3rd Generation Technology Brushed Stainless Steel
Product is well made and works as advertised, easy to use and cooks to perfection, great for college kids and home, cook healthy and nutritious meals in record time. Put the ingredients into the stainless steel non stick pot, close the lid (smooth and easy), press two buttons on the electronic panel and it will buzz when the food is cooked and automatically keep warm, safe no mess and yummy hot food. Wish I bought this years ago. Some other product uses Teflon coating for the cooking pot but Instant Pot comes with stainless steel and it is non stick, just an excellent product. Just bought a second one today for my kid in college.

KitchenAid 2-Quart Gourmet Essentials Brushed Stainless Steel Kettle
KitchenAid 2-Quart Gourmet Essentials Brushed Stainless Steel Kettle
I have had 3 or 4 kettles in the last couple of years. The Oxo, which is as/more expensive, went to hell so fast it was bizarre: warped, looking like it was fished out of a dumpster. Then I got another one that was a disaster: also got ugly weeks into its tour of duty. Second one was an even bigger disaster though because the hole was not big enough to get my hand down inside and white stuff started to appear in the water.
This one works fine, and there is no problem pouring using it (??). It is staying clean, though as is the case w/all stainless, keeping it clean means special treatment. Still, 10x better than the other two I had.

Presto 4-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker
Presto 4-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker
I have been using Presto Pressure Cookers for the past 35+ years, they are simply the best on the market, and I have had other brands, those other brands ended up at my yard sale, the Presto Pressure Cooker is the best! always reliable, and I have never had to replace the gasket, that is saying something to the quality of the product, which by the was has been on the market for longer than I have been alive, and thats a long long time, so why bother with the rest when you can have the best, and at a great price, give it a try, you will be delighted with all you can make and the time saved cooking this way, especially cheaper cuts of meat,I can't say enough good things about this pressure cooker!

The 10 Green Earth Frying Pan by Ozeri with Smooth Ceramic Non-Stick Coating (100% PTFE and PFOA Free)
I was very, very, VERY skeptical when I bought this pan (I don't trust anything "SEEN ON TV!") I tried finding outside reviews for this product on Google and YouTube and didn't find a whole lot.
I have a full set of All-Clad LTD aluminum pans and have a lot of problems with food sticking. Originally I was just shopping for "non-stick pans" and came across this one. I bought the pan and shocker: food doesn't stick. The ceramic coating reminds me a lot of le creuset pans...
Anyways, I'm really happy with this pan and if you too are a skeptic, I hope you found this review helpful.

Cuisinart CFO-3SS Electric Fondue Maker
Cuisinart CFO-3SS Electric Fondue Maker
I researched this product as well as others that were comparable and a little cheaper. So far, it has been great. The fondue pot is durable and the forks are sturdy. I used it for a dinner party and it went over very well. The instruction manual is easy to read and includes recipes, cooking tips, and cooking temperature recommendations. Although the recipes don't include a serving size, I would estimate it to be about 6 because there was a little too much left-over for a serving for 4 people. It was easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I would completely recommend this product to anyone looking for an entry level fondue pot.

Lodge Logic 8-Quart Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Camp Dutch Oven
Lodge Logic 8-Quart Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Camp Dutch Oven
In more than a decade of outdoor cooking experience, I have learned one valuable lesson: always trust anything from Lodge. This rule has been tested on everything from a simple skillet to the monster dutch ovens crafted to feed an army. In all those years, Lodge has never failed me.
I tried to save money by using cast iron utensils from other firms, and have paid dearly for it. No body has the durability, the skill, or the quality of Lodge. There is something magic about the Lodge method of manufacturing, and that magic is worth every penny that you pay for. When you purchase from Lodge, you aren't simply buying a pot or skillet, you're acquring a lifelong companion that your children will be using when you are gone.
I have 5 dutch ovens of various sizes, numerous skillets and griddles, and all of them bear the Lodge name and logo, and all of them still perform just like they did when I first got them, although they have improved with age because the taste and the smell of the food that comes from them says it all.
Trust me, friends: you can save money by buying another brand, but you will be making a grave mistake. Don't try to be cheap, buy Lodge and prepare yourself for a quality product that will last for a long, long time.

Presto 8-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker
Presto 8-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker
Presto's 8 qt stainless pressure cooker is awesome; it's quiet, effective, and easy to clean. Its safety features do not interfere with regular use in any way. The short handles/grips are better than the short-grip + long-handle combination used on some models. This Presto just makes sense. It is my third one and is the best by far.
Though I only have experience with Presto, I cannot imagine another cooker being worth either the savings or the extra expense.
If you only want to own one pressure cooker, don't get the smaller sizes. When you want to do a big stew, chicken or roast you won't have room. A small secondary pressure cooker for extra vegetables etc. might be useful, but not as your primary cooker.
Hey Presto, A double-decker basket would be nice for separating certain foods. How about it?
*Never* buy the aluminum pressure cookers, they save you money but are forever spreading aluminum about when you clean them. Stainless steel rocks(heh heh).
As always, never risk letting a cooker run dry while cooking under pressure.

Lodge Logic 5-Quart Double Dutch Oven and Casserole with Skillet Cover
This is my new favorite pot. It makes my food taste incredible. I prefer to season myself so I washed w/soap and scrubbed and then did the Lodge recommended seasoning instructions. Mine is not as good as mom's/grandma's yet but the food is still incredible and gets better with every use. I use a trivet in the bottom so that I can add a little moisture to meats without having it all sit in the drippings.
My meatloaf is awesome. Chicken is great! I'm trying some pork dishes next...
Beware of tomato products until it is seasoned well!

Lodge Logic L14SK3 Pre-Seasoned 15 Inch Cast-Iron Skillet
Lodge Logic L14SK3 Pre-Seasoned 15 Inch Cast-Iron Skillet
This is the most incredible skillet I have EVER used! I use it every single day to cook for my large family.
Can't believe I 'fell' for the teflon-type or anodized skillets; I was purchasing a new one every 2 or 3 years as they do not stand up to daily use. The one improvement we made to both our 15-1/4 and 10-1/4 inch Cast-iron Skillets was to subject them to some serious sanding with our orbital sander. We started with 80 grit and worked up to 220 grit - took more than an hour, but boy was it worth it! The pan finish is now like glass and is 100% stick free!

All American 921 All-American 21-1/2-Quart Pressure Cooker/Canner
I do lots of cooking and canning - sometimes just for family, sometimes for large gatherings - and this cooker has made that chore much easier. Even when cooking for family, I'll make 2 chickens at a time, that way I won't have to cook another night. While the chickens are cooking, I'll also have stock to make rice or soup with. Forgot about cooking dinner? This baby can take 2 frozen rabbits from the freezer to the dinner table in less than an hour. Its large size makes canning large batches quick work. The only drawback I have is washing it - it is heavy, and if you don't have a big enough sink or a hose to rinse it out, then your in for a workout. I have a double sink and it fits in nicely - a must for anyone with a large family !

Presto 307912 6-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker
If you've ever used a pressure cooker, then you know what it's supposed to do. This one does it very well. Sturdy build, decent size, easy to clean, has a safety lock so you don't go opening it before it has de-pressurized. The hole in the lid is easily cleanable. This is the second one I own (the first one is still in function) and if needed, I'd buy a third one of the same type.

Presto 1781 23-Quart Aluminum Pressure Cooker/Canner
Presto 1781 23-Quart Aluminum Pressure Cooker/Canner
This is one of the best canners I have ever used. I used to have a Mirro, but this is better. The seal is tight and it doesn't leak. I love the little pressure indicator because it drops down when the canner is completely depressurized, letting you know you can open it.
Even though there is a dial gauge, you actually CAN use this canner as a weighted gauge canner! I contacted Presto about this, and the weight that comes with this canner is the same weight that is on their smaller pressure cookers, the 4- and 6-quart models, which cook at 15 PSI. Therefore, when the weight begins to gently rock, it is pressure canning at 15 PSI. However, people who live below 1,000 feet of elevation need to pressure can at 10 PSI, so you either need to make sure your gauge is accurate, or you can purchase a 3-piece pressure regulator from Presto (model #50332). The lady at Presto confirmed that by using this particular pressure regulator, it will then effectively be a weighted gauge canner with the dial there just for reference.
Now that I have a way to pressure can using just a weighted gauge and not depending on accuracy of a dial, I love this canner. I do not have a way to have my gauge checked other than by sending it to Presto, and that takes weeks to have it checked. Also, I don't know how accurate the gauge would be after being in the mail getting jostled around.
This canner is great because it is lightweight and, therefore, comes up to pressure quickly and also drops pressure quickly. Replacement parts for Presto products are readily available. Customer service for Presto is so far excellent. They will actually answer your e-mail within one business day.
I highly recommend this canner as well as most other Presto products.

T-Fal Professional Total Nonstick 12-1/2-Inch Fry Pan Black
T-Fal Professional Total Nonstick 12-1/2-Inch Fry Pan Black
After reading about this product on Cook's Illustrated, I decided to hunt for one. Lots of trouble finding it, but at some point, Amazon came through with the T-Fal Professional Nonstick (with thermo spot
and prometal pro interior). After buying Calphalon, Cuisinart and other nonsticks over the years, I have been very disappointed because they really aren't nonstick and don't hold up well. This pan is amazing! I use it for omelets, vegetable sautes, meat sautes and general stovetop uses. It is lighter weight than most cooktop pans, but it is wide with slightly sloped sides so I can get a lot in it. And things saute to a nice brown with minimal fat- a winner in my opinion! I sure hope Tfal makes this product available again!

Cuisinart 77-10 Chef's Classic Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set
Cuisinart 77-10 Chef's Classic Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set
The day after Thanksgiving, "Black Friday" is the official kick off of the Holiday shopping season. I have never participated in this event, however those 20% coupons to shop between 6AM and 11AM enticed me. I needed a new cookware set, since my old pots and pans dated back to before I was born.
I am known as the "Research King" & "The Negotiator", so yes I did my homework. I was going to purchase a non stick set for $300.00, however you have to "feel" the set before buying. Is the weight even, do the covers fit right - you know what I mean. NOTE: I cook every night and have for years. I am not a Chef, but can cook a great meal.
Right next to Anolon at Macy's Dept. store, was the Cuisinart 10 Piece Classic Stainless cookware. It looked good, the weight was even, the lids fit great, but why so inexpensive? I researched Cuisinart and knew it was a good brand, so after playing around with the pots and pans for 20 minutes I bought the set! So this is what I got:
- 8" & 10" Skillet
- 1.5 QT & 3 QT Saucepan with covers
- 3.5 QT Saute with helper handle and cover
- 8 QT Stockpot with cover
FREE Gift with purchase: 2 QT Saucier
Extra Purchase: 5 1/2 QT All purpose pan with cover.
So, all in all, I got a 13 piece set for the grand total of: $130.75
Yes, I took advantage of a 20% coupon and then an additional 10% coupon. All 13 pieces are part of Cusinarts's Cheft's Classic line.
My Experience: (Rate by school grade A through F)
* Appearance: All the pieces looked great. The set looks as if it should be worth $500.00 (Grade A )
* Weight: The weight of each piece is solid and even. An important point because I flip my food and move the pans a lot while cooking. Note: These pieces do not feel cheap. Very good solid feel. (A-)
* Covers: The lids are a little light in weight, however they create a vacum seal when the heat is turned down. They do a better job then I expected. Normally with lighter lids you think they would wiggle and pop off, but these hold tight! (B )
* Handles: Solid Stainless steel, riveted handle. Solid feel and yes they stay cool. Also long enough to get a good grip. (A)
* Heat Distribution - Cuisinart recommends cooking on lower heat. Yes, this is true. The aluminum bottoms heat quickly and there are no hot spots. Trust me, use low heat. (A )
* Sticking - Well, these are not non stick. I used most of these pots and pans already to reheat our Thanksgiving dinner. Some things really stuck to the pots even when using PAM. Mashed potatoes, stuffing, stuck like glue. Next morning: Bacon stuck, but eggs did not. Go figure.... (B-)
* Clean Up: Water and soap in pan right after cooking. Yes this works well, but I have always done this. (B)
* Dishwasher: Yes, they are dishwasher safe, however after one cycle, the inside bottoms of a couple of pans had a purple tint to it. So, I have decided just to hand wash these for now. (Until I get lazy). (C-)
Final grade: B

Lodge Logic LPGI3 Pro 20-by-10-7/16-Inch Cast-Iron Grill/Griddle
Lodge Logic LPGI3 Pro 20-by-10-7/16-Inch Cast-Iron Grill/Griddle
I just received my griddle last week and I've been using it daily with excelent results every time. Mine arrived with a few minor scratches on the preseasoning but all of them seem to be disappearing quite soon (I spray a little pam all over the griddle before using it). I cooked some hamburgers on the grill side which turned out delicious and they got those great grill marks on them also. I've had no sticking problems at all with this thing so far. Cleanup is easy providing you have a stiff brush, a large sink and the strong arms required to carry it from the stove to the sink every time you wash it (this thing weighs 15 pounds). I highly recommend this griddle to anyone, it's very well constructed and looks like it will last a lifetime with proper care.

Cuisinart MCP-12 MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set
Cuisinart MCP-12 MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set
My girlfriend and I did a huge amount of research when we were looking into buying a cookware set, and we found the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro to be by-far the best compromise between quality and price. They're substantially cheaper than, for example, the All-Clad MasterChef line, and they have a stainless steel exterior which is generally preferrable to aluminum for cleaning (dishwasher safe, among other things). We've been cooking hard with them for a few months now, and they've been awesome so far.
Notes:
1. Don't confuse these with the Cuisinart Chef's Classic line. Chef's Classic is cheaper, with thin, stainless-steel sides and an aluminum plate inside the bottom only. Multiclad Pro is fully clad -- aluminum in the bottom and all the way up the sides for more even heating, sandwiched between stainless steel on the inside and outside for durability and corrosion resistance.
2. Neither of the Cuisinart lines will work on an induction cooktop. If you have an induction cooktop or you're thinking of getting one someday, you may want to look elsewhere -- the All-Clad Stainless line might be your best bet, but they cost an arm and a leg.

BonJour Copper Clad 10-Piece Cookware Set
BonJour Copper Clad 10-Piece Cookware Set
I got this set for Christmas last year and have used them heavily. I replaced a set of Wearever that I bought from a friend who was selling them door-to-door in the 1960's. They were heavy aluminum lined with stainless and wonderful to cook with, but they were showing their age and my new kitchen needed something really good looking on the stove in the island. These cook as well or better than my old pans. They are identical in cooking characteristics to the two pieces of AllClad with copper that I also have. And, they are drop dead beautiful! They still look new after a year of heavy use; the insides polish up nicely with Bar Keepers Friend.

Berndes SignoCast Classic10-Piece Cookware Set
We actually purchased this set about 3 years ago. I came across it here on Amazon and though I would take a second a write a review. This cookware is amazing! Cooks evenly, cleans up instantly, and after almost 3 years of use, it is still like brand new. Very heavy duty, strong non-stick coating, and will not warp like the cheap stuff.
If you are considering a new cookware set, do not hesitate to purchase anything by Berndes, it is worth the money.
Follow Up: It's now 2010 and we are still using this cookware. The fry pan is gone but that is due to my teenagers cooking with it and using sharp utensils. Amazing after almost 10 years, this cookware is still holding up.

Berndes Cucinare Stainless Induction 10-Piece Cookware Set
These pots are of excellent quality and beauty. I've been using mine for more than one year now and they still look like new. If they stain, it is enough to rinse them with a mixture of water and vinegar and they go right back to their initial beauty.
Great cookware, have not had any problems. I want to leave them out on my cooktop because they are so lovely.

I purchased these pans because they were recommended to me! I put in a new gas stove in my kitchen and the last thing I purchased were these pots and pans and they make the cooking experience enjoyable. I gave away my microwave. These pans cook evenly and quickly (energy efficient) I am not known for my cooking skills and I am learning to love cooking. I've been told the fire alarm is not the cooking timer. I am so pleased that these pans are safe from contamination food like the teflon coated pans do and the best is they clean easy! I didn't know if they'd be worth the money, put they are paying off!

Holstein Housewares 8 Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set
I really needed some pots and pans- so I researched stainless steel and non-stick. I definitely did not want to worry about some of the scary side effects of Teflon, so it was either hard anodized or stainless steel. I ended up going with this set, and they are AMAZING. The best set of pots/pans I have ever used. I've had this set for a year and a half, and they are incredibly durable. I love the rubber on the handles of the pots, and also on the lids. These are NOT dishwasher safe, but it is totally worth it to me, so have such great, durable cookware. Very easy to clean by hand, and things don't really stick to them either, so I am thrilled with this, and will definitely buy from this company in the future.

Chef's Secret 10 Surgical Stainless Steel 12-Element Cookware Set
Chef's Secret 10 Surgical Stainless Steel 12-Element Cookware Set
I've had my surgical steel cookware for a couple of days and so far, so good. As pots and pans go it really seems like quality stuff. I was motivated to buy it as a result of seeing several demonstrations of it at various state fairs I've been to. Also, everything I know about the coated pans, which are made that way so nothing sticks, suggests that the coating is not good for you.
Anyway, I've successfully cooked two or three meals. I've noticed that the pots and pans take a while to warm up, but once the food goes in it cooks very fast due to the seal with the cover, which makes up for the slow warm up of the pots and pans. Next, they are super easy to clean, no matter what's been in them, it comes out with just a wisk of the sponge, or I leave the pot full of water a couple hours and when I come back it easily washes out. Finally, I feel better about eating food off of uncoated surfaces. I've always felt that when doing it that way I was slowly killing myself. No more worries about that.
In sum, I'm looking forward to continuing to explore this healthy way to eat.

Berndes Coquere Aluminum Induction 10-Piece Cookware Set
Berndes Coquere Aluminum Induction 10-Piece Cookware Set
When I bought my new induction cooktop, I knew that all my great Berndes SignoCast nonstick cookware would not work on it. Not to worry! The Berndes Coquere line is designed for use on induction. I ordered the 10-piece set. Now that I have been using it for about a month, I can say that I am very happy with its heft and its overall feel (the handles are different than the SignoCast)- it is quite comparable to the SignoCast in that regard. I am especially pleased with the way it (and the induction cooktop) cooks. The large 11" saute pan is a really convenient size and shape. The only problem is that the saucepans and the stock pot (dutch oven) in the set are on the small side. Be sure you are aware of their capacities when you order. I also got a veggie wok (directly from Berndes as it was not available on Amazon) and it was just that - a considerably smaller wok than the full size Swiss Diamond nonstick I had to abandon for the sake of induction. All in all the set was a great purchase for a terrific Amazon price. It is great to know that I didn't have to give up a product I had been so happy with for so many years.

Magefesa Due Cristal Enamel On Steel 7 Piece Cookware Set
I've owned this set for 5 years now and have nothing but good things to say! I use my pots daily and I hand wash for the most part, only because it is so effortless to get them clean. I use only bamboo or plastic ware on it, so scratching has never been a problem. The handles on the pots and lids do get hot so keep those ovenmits handy! The cooking is fantastic! I can cook all day long on high and not burn anything! The size is really great especially if you have a big family you are cooking for. I've not tried them in the oven, because I have ovenware, but I know they are safe up to 500F. I highly recommend this set, you will not be disapointed! :-)

I bought theses pans after reading about all of the Calphalon and every other -on. I didn't want to spend a fortune and figured these would last longer now that the last of the kids is about out of the house, since I can take better care of the pans if I'm the only one cooking with them. These pans are beautiful and the handles feel awesome in your hands. These are definitely pretty enough to hang from a rack. Even though they have the durable non-stick interior, I have noticed some slight surface scratches from a spoons, and I am making an effort to use nylon, wood or silicone utensils. Another reviewer stated she put them in the dishwasher, although a lot of these pans say they should be hand washed. They are SO easy to clean up, I just quickly hand wash them, swipe a towel around them and put them away. If you do get dark spots on the outside bottom of the pan from something burned on, a little Bon Ami on a damp rag removes it and it leaves the finish perfect!
I loved these so much I even did a search for another of the 3-qt. pans because we use it so much!! Found one on eBay, and it was 3-qt., but when I got it, it was shorter and a little wider...I think they called it a saucier. This was even better because they all still stack well since the two pans aren't identical dimensions. This set sells on eBay for well over $200, so this is a buy, although I had my set sitting in my shopping cart for so long while I made up my mind, the price had gone down every time I looked at it and I got them even way cheaper than this!!
Couldn't be happier! Buy them...you'll love them!

All-Clad Cop-R-Chef 7-Piece Cookware Set
I bought this set over 15 years ago and use it daily. It's the best set by far that I've owned and the copper disperses heat evenly unlike all the non-stick sets I've tried. I expect this to last beyond my lifetime. It's a great investment for the kitchen, expensive but pays for itself through many years of use.

I searched everywhere for welded handles and yet didn't want to sacrifice quality. This little cookware set has it all (encapsulated aluminum bottoms, 18/10, glass lids)! And for the price, you can't beat it! We just came from a home show and this cookware had everything the expensive sets do! I've used it to cook with and it's great. (I didn't realize though, that you should treat your ss cookware gently and try to keep the scratches down, and then it cleans up almost as easy as teflon.)
UPDATE: This is now Feb 2011 and am still using this cookware set! It's a champ. This was a GREAT buy for us!

I've had these pans for 2 weeks. I haven't had any problems cooking with them. Food has not stuck to pans. We have used only silicone utensils and of course no scratching. Clean up has been a breeze just some soap and a sponge, everything just wipes right out. We use these on a daily basis, since we cook alot. The only thing I would change is the the lids to be see though, but they are very nice just the same.

I have purchased several individual pieces of the Calphalon Contemporary series. Out of the 8 pieces, that I have purchased individually, I have had two that had the "paint" defect on the lid. Both times I called Calphalon customer service first thing in the morning at about 8:00AM EST. Both times I waited less than 5 minutes to speak with a representative. Both times they simply took my name and address and asked me which lid I needed. Both times they immediately sent me a replacement lid which did not have the defect. Both times they did not require me to send anything back. Both times it required no effort on my part except to verbally tell them that the lid was defective.
I totally commend their customer service and will continue buy Calphalon products. It seems that some of you must be living on some other planet or something. I can not figure out why you seem to be having so many problems.

I Love these pots. They clean up very well. Don't know why the other review says they had burnt food. I have an electric stove maybe that is the difference. The only problem is that the glass covers sometimes have water pooled under the handle and I need to unscrew it a little to release the fluid. other wise quite happy with the quality.

I've been volunteering at the local kitchen store that holds cooking classes led by local chefs. We have been able to use this brand of pan for a year now and the chefs all prefer them to the others. We've had no problems with them and the people attending class that have purchased them are all very, very satisfied with these pans. I am really looking forward to having a few of my own. Just doing some saving so I can get a couple.

Okay so I am an insomniac, have a big family and I often cook late at night for the next day. Unbelievable story....I actually had a pan on low with food in it and fell asleep while working at the kitchen table. Not only was the food not burnt when I woke up...we did not die. Not that I would ever recommend doing the same thing at your house. It is because the heat coil at the bottom of the pan that spread the heat evenly and that saved not only the pan, my food but most likely my life as well- how impressive is that. However I love the pans, they are the only ones that I have that have not been scratched by my 6 person household. I find that the finish has remained the same quality. I do not put them in the dishwasher as it said not to on the box (2 years ago) and still no scratches...am purchasing another set today to get rid of my Tfal and Mirro pans. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone who cooks constantly. I have found my new love....oh I am bannished from cooking after midnight :)

I have 4 homes, i have put kitchenaide, cusianart, salad masters and membersmart in the kitchens. This set went to a new log cabin that we have in Co. I can tell you, that this set of cookware is one of the best I have found. If I could start over with the other homes I would put all Magefesa. The even heating works great on gas or electric.
