T-Fal Specialty 12-Quart Nonstick Stock Pot Black

T-Fal Specialty 12-Quart Nonstick Stock Pot Black
We have a commercial 12 quart pot that's made to work great in a commercial restaurant setting. It held up fairly well, although it looked a bit beat up. I actually needed 2 pots for when I'm cooking 2 big pot items such as during entertaining, or when one is in the dishwasher (we cook a lot.)

So, in getting this one, I assumed it would be equal or lesser than my very expensive commercial pot.

Wrong.

I have dishes that typically burn in the other pot...probably partly because of even heat transfer or the fact that it has no non-stick characteristics or a bit of both. For the same recipes, I've had no issues with this pot. No matter how many times I cook a sticky item that normally burns somewhat on the bottom, or how many times I throw this in the dishwasher, nothing sticks and I get even cooking throughout. It is very light and I can scrape the bottom more easily so things don't burn. Plus the glass lid is nice to peek into stews that are simmering without lifting the lid.

No negatives yet...it's working great for our needs.

Also, this isn't teflon for those who avoid teflon due to health concerns.
